Introducing the Spider S5 with two-way communications via your Smartphone, Bluetooth and the Iridium satellite system, along with real time flight tracking and spider Watch.

Your GPS location is sent via the Iridium Satellite Network in real-time to the Spidertracks website. Your track is then displayed on the website for on-line tracking showing location, altitude, speed and direction of travel. With spidertracks, you’re not reliant on your ELT surviving an accident for you to be found and rescued, because the SOS message is sent by the spidertracks website.

The Spider S5 allows flight personnel to connect their smartphones to the tracking units via Bluetooth. Once connected, subscribers can send and receive SMS messages from their smartphones on the ground or from the spidertracks website through the Iridium Satellite Network.

This new two-way communication service, designed especially for the commercial operator, is just being released and is planned to be available late May or early June.

Spidertracks is a reliable web-based tracking solution. The Spider locator system turns itself on automatically during take-off and tracks you in real-time with your position and flight data sent every two minutes via the Iridium satellite system to the Spidertracks servers.

With Spidertracks the alarm is sent automatically by the Spidertracks website within two minutes of an accident. Whether you are a rental pilot or a fleet operator, this portable unit goes where you go ready to automatically help out when needed. There is no external antenna and no batteries to replace. Just plug it in, sync up with the system and off you go knowing that Spiderwatch will be there if needed.

The S3 provides the same tracking and safety benefits as the S5 without the communications feature for a more value priced option.
