Flight Test Services
NavPath Aviation provides flight test services for all general aviation pilots in single-engine aeroplanes and multi-engine aeroplanes, mainly out of the Courtenay Airpark.
All flight tests are conducted in accordance with the policy and procedures contained in the Transport Canada Pilot Examiner Manual. Your flight test will be conducted by our Pilot Examiner, Bob Leroux. The Transport Canada Flight Test Guides set out the techniques, procedures and the marking criteria to be used by examiners to assess your practical operational knowledge and flying skills. You will be assessed on your ability to safely and consistently fly the aeroplane within its design and certification parameters.
Please check the Canadian Aviation Regulations section 401.14 and section 421.14 to ensure that you meet all requirements for admission to your particular flight test.

As your training is nearing completion it would be wise to plan ahead for that very important day of your flight test. When your instructor determines that you are ready for flight test, we will be ready for you.
All scheduling is on a first-come-first-served basis so be sure to schedule your flight test well in advance of your desired date. Your instructor should Contact Us early by email at info@navpath.com, or by phone at 604-999-7284.
On the day of your flight test, be sure to check the NAV CANADA website, Collaborative Flight Planning Services (CFPS), to ensure that the weather is suitable for your flight test to proceed. There are occasions where flight tests are delayed for unforeseen circumstances such as weather and aeroplane un-serviceability. In such cases we endeavour to reschedule your flight test at the earliest possible opportunity.
You may pay for your flight test by Interac e-Transfer to info@navpath.com, by cash or by cheque made payable to NavPath Aviation Ltd.
Following successful completion of your flight test for an initial Instrument Rating or initial Flight Instructor Rating you are required to submit to Transport Canada a completed form “Application for an Endorsement of a Rating” along with a $30 administration fee for issuance of the rating. For renewal flight tests for a flight instructor rating your are required to submit to Transport Canada the $30 administration fee. The examiner will then make the appropriate entry in your Aviation Document Booklet.
